Pros

- discounts on travel - chances to make a little more money - convenient location to food places

Cons

- hierarchy benefits upper management only - favoritism - culture and values don't exist Hire leaders that can actually lead and communicate professionally with their employees. If there's someone that doesn't like to talk to their employees, smile, or they talk down have them work from home full-time. Everyone knows who these people are. It makes everyone else in the office feel awful and want to look for another job. I've been here many years and see a lot of the younger and newer employee's recieve better perks NOT OKAY. Aside from people skills issues I love my job and can be a great place to work. Some rotten apples. Please get it together Signature.

I am so sorry you feel this way. I hope you will speak up and talk to me or your supervisor - that's the only way these issues or perceived issues can be addressed. No judgement or repercussions, just looking for honest feedback.

Pros

I have worked in the travel industry for more than 20 years in a variety of capacities. No other company touches Signature for its commitment to its employees, their individual growth, their desire to constantly increase the benefits for the employees, and the culture. From the top down, employees are supportive to helping each other while balancing their own job responsibilities. After decades working at other companies where the corporate culture was ridden with gossip, negativity, people not pulling their weight and poor leadership, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Signature had none of these typical negative aspects. I always feel supported and have never seen a more talented leadership in the entire travel industry. I'm not that old but plan on retiring here.

Cons

More a word of advice for people seeking a job at Signature than about its culture: If you can't handle a fast paced environment, want to just stay in your own box without lending a helping hand when needed, tend to be negative, and aren't willing to strive to do your best every day, you will be a fish out of water in this dynamic work environment.

Pros

Friendly, and reliable coworkers. Relaxed office atmosphere with a real family culture. Great benefits, and retirement plans. Vacation incentives and raffles are nice as well. The option to work remotely/telecommute is always available. Company also supports the furthering of your education. Small company, meaning you have the ability to have a significant impact on the functional aspects of the company. Suggestions for improvements are thoughtfully considered and there is much freedom within your own responsibilities to not only define the best ways for your work to be completed but also to define the actual scope of your responsibilities. The company does a myriad of things for its members, so there is bound to be something within the scope of your interests. Minimal interdepartmental communication means you have the ability to make changes within your own department without necessarily needing to consult the company as a whole.

Cons

Small company means you may have to take on responsibilities beyond the scope of your normal work. This scarcity of time means that most of your day is spent keeping the ship afloat, so to speak, with minimal time available to work on large scale projects and improvements. Overall there is much room for automation. You may also find it the case that there is no one else at the company to further your education in the way that it applies to your work, so in many ways you are on your own in coming up with the best and proper ways to do something. Minimal interdepartmental communication meaning you may find little understanding among coworkers regarding your own responsibilities and work load. You may be asked to help with certain projects while others do not understand how much is on your own plate. Uncertain potential for upward mobility within the company. Service oriented company that manages hundreds of separate travel agencies, meaning you will often have to bear with the typical customer service milieu in addition to your normal work responsibilities.

Thank for your review. Yes, we have a long way to go! We need to build additional depth in the departments which will allow us to look more long term vs. the fires in front of us. Keep pushing us - tell us what you need and make sure you yell for help and we will be there!
