      People are "lifers" at Sleeman for a reason.

      Pros

      - Incredible benefits: health, parental leave (paid), RRSP matching, tuition support, etc. - Opportunity for growth and movement across different departments - A culture that puts its people first - there's a reason why over 50% of its employees have been working at the company for over 10 years - Work/life balance - Employee pride in the products and the organization - Fun working environment of people who are passionate about what they do - Company has become much more innovative, open minded and inclusive in recent years

      - Would be great to see more women in senior leadership roles

      Great Company but in the end if your Manager isn't invested in development than you will never move!

      Pros

      Free beer, great people! Probably my most favourite place to work and I hope Sleeman continues to work on talent assessment and succession planning.

      Cons

      A Boys club in Management that also emits arrogance at times. Communication is very poor from management this can cause a lot of unnecessary tension.

      Great Benefits but Toxic Culture

      Work life balance, friendly coworkers, great benefits

      Cons

      Politics and Favoritism... if you are one of their "chosen" ones you will continue to rise the ranks regardless of lack of experience or ability to manage effectively. Chosen ones tend to be those that have only ever been at Sleeman and worked no where else or have commited 10+ years. Management takes a "this is how we've always done it" approach and tries to scapegoat employees that they feel threatened by
