On boarding into DCC was a shocking display of incompetence Payroll are without doubt the worst payroll department in the solar system - paying you right is a basic - come on guys. Most core functions are managed by capita - when I say managed I mean grossly fudged and mismanaged and obfuscated CEO seems to be so far up his own backside I’m genuinely surprised he isn’t inside out by now and surrounds himself with cronies who when they prove not competent at one job get another one and guess what - yup not brilliant there either The recruitment seems to be a liturgy if failed Telco executives seeing out the dwindling remnants of their career prior to retirement in the only place they will have them Bullying is rife and nobody is held to account for it Workload os excessive abd when you manage that up it’s objection handled and you get more work There are no opportunities for training and development it’s frankly a joke they promise the world and deliver nothing Facilities and IT think they run the organisation and send threatening emails to employees If you mark the company badly in the staff survey it affects your end of year bonus (yes seriously) The display the disability confident employer badge whilst discriminating directly disabled employees - totally abhorrent attitudes to diversity and inclusion, lots of talking and nothing done about it - lots of people paid to talk it seems Director who bullied me got away with it and never even apologised No career opportunities unless you’re in the inner circle Cloak and dagger organisational messages

If you like gaslighting by senior directors then this is the place for you. I have never seen anything like the chaos of Smart DCC and nor have I witnessed leaders wash their hands of culpability so readily. So many good colleagues have been thrown under the bus by the CEO and his team - they ask you to do things and then when it goes wrong they find a scapegoat. It's a truly awful place to work. I recommend you ask around and do your research before agreeing to join this organisation. This toxic environment is driven by a lack of understanding of what this organisation is (it's not Vodafone people). That creates a situation where the Department of Energy Security and Ofgem are finally intervening to micromanage the organisation's core work and make financial disallowances where entirely inappropriate or badly managed activity is taking place - this is completely overdue. The proposed new regulatory framework and the massive cost disallowance by Ofgem are an end of year report for the CEO and his team and it's plainly not very good - their are rumours of head hunters searching the industry for new leadership - if that is successful then it may be a good time to join. Swapping the current chaos and dishonesty with competence and clear strategy may create a rewarding environment to work in.
