Pros

One of SmartAsset's biggest strengths is it's team. I've seen the number of employees triple in size since I started and every hire meets the standard of being both super nice and extremely talented. Everyone here is very easy to work with and as a result, things get done well and quickly. It is a great culture to be a part of, and I have made lifelong friendships with some of my colleagues here. The company is in a very exciting stage of growth right now. There are a lot of opportunities for people to get their hands dirty and make a significant contribution to the business.

Cons

Although the company sets both long and short term goals, it can occasionally be unclear how weekly tasks and projects relate to them. This is especially noticeable when priorities shift, which is inevitable in a dynamic startup environment.

Supportive leadership, strong team culture, opportunities for growth and a work environment built on trust rather than micromanagement. Employees are treated with respect and recognized for strong performance. This is a great fit for people who are self-motivated, team-oriented and appreciate being trusted to do their job without excessive oversight.

Cons

Like many growing companies, goals and quotas can evolve over time, so adaptability is important. Expectations are high, but so are the opportunities/rewards.

Pros

There is a very collaborative atmosphere, and people are always willing to jump in and help across different departments. Leadership does a great job of keeping us informed about company goals, and I’ve always felt that my work is valued.

Cons

Because we are moving quickly and growing, priorities can sometimes shift fast. You have to be adaptable, but the team is always supportive when changes happen.
