Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you found the training and incentives valuable, and that you see SmartSearch as a strong place to begin a career in tech sales. Developing our people and providing a solid foundation for progression is something we place a strong focus on. With respect to restructures, we both recognise and empathise these can be difficult; these are thoroughly thought through and no decision is taken lightly. Thank you again for your honesty. We value all feedback and use it to help ensure SmartSearch continues to be a great place to work.

Pros

- Social, relaxed culture - Great Offices - Supports Hybrid working - Not under huge amounts of pressure - Very good training to ease you into the job - Positive and kind team managers - Understanding about things like compassionate leave etc.

Cons

- Micromanaged/babied a bit. - In your role you are advertised as a 'compliance expert' which makes clients believe you are able to advise legally - which you aren't. - You have to answer Support line calls and get some verbal abuse - Commission on a sales style role was dictated by an annual bonus rather than quarterly. - Requirement to get bonus were not clearly outlined until it was too late in the year (Ie. dictated by more than just sales targets) - Bad organisation of client portfolio (although improvements were being made when I left) - When improvements are suggested, it's difficult to have any impact as there is a rigid hierarchy for decision making - No way to develop except become a 'senior'.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed aspects of your time with us, particularly the team culture, training, and flexible way of working. Creating a supportive and welcoming environment is something we work hard to maintain. We also appreciate your honest reflections on the areas where your experience didn’t meet expectations and recognise the impact these can have on day-to-day experience. These comments will be taken onboard. Thanks again and all the best for the future.
