• Disconnected Japanese management • Bad job security. It used to be good as shown in the 2009/10 downturn where employees were only asked to sacrifice their bonus payments to save the company. The redundancies in 2019 came suddenly. 1/3 of staff were laid off but no managers. No attempt was made to ease the impact, e.g. by voluntary redundancies.
