Pros

You get your paid vacations depending on your experience in the sector, not on your experience at Softtech. So if you have 5 years of experience when you join Softtech you'll get 18 days instead of 14. People are generally nice and helpful around the office.

Cons

Many of the engineers are third-class. They are not very passionate or successful. Just ordinary people. I can say two-third of the whole company is just below the average at their job. Whatever you do, you won't be mentioned in an event or get a good raise if you're not in some of the popular teams. Management only cares about some framework teams and doesn't care about the others much. You won't find a chance to develop yourself and learn a lot because most of the things you have to develop you'll have to use some internal application or library. So it's just connecting different tools to one another. Which is not satisfying me as a developer. You can wake up and find yourself in a different team than yesterday because management likes to toss people around like toys. If you reject you'll get a bad reputation. If you're working in an R&D location, entering and leaving times are so crucial they have a specific internal site for only to check if you punched the clock correctly. If you spend even 1 hour less in the office than you're supposed to be your manager will ask if there was an error or any problem. (Smoking breaks are not included.) A lot of the people don't do anything other than punching the clock sitting around and leaving at the end of their shift. Oh, also there are some teams that don't even care about time and allowed the work fully remotely. Tough luck I guess. Project management is really poor. All the deadlines are not even deadlines and will eventually postpone. So if you stay up late to finish work because you think it's the last week of the delivery, probably it will be postponed and you won't even get notified. Poor communication is the norm around here. You can get a yearly raise less than the inflation. So basically you lost money while working and receiving higher than the average performance points. If they don't like you, you can even get a 2 percent yearly raise. Most of the people don't speak proper English but they're expected to write English documentation which renders them unuseful. You can't understand what it's saying. Such a waste of time. Promotion and Rewarding system is based on competition between team members. It creates conflict in team and targets to create a toxic work environment. HR director stated that they want and expect it to create competition between peers.

Pros

Not much, just free Udemy account

Cons

Most of the things you hear about good things are fake. Old formal managers, bad salary, old technology, salary raises are not even related with the inflation, performance management system is very very bad and not fair, management decisions are not taken regarding of employee problems, there is no technology company culture, its more like old boring bank culture, not close relations, bad life-work balance, no overwork payments. If you have self-respect, stay away from this company. The worst thing you can do as a software engineer in this century is to start working here

Pros

Positive and constructive criticism is always welcome but doesn't transform to any physical action taken any how. Managers always tend to support supervised employees at least orally not exactly verbally.

Cons

Infinite hierarchy. Managers are not familiar with software development culture. Good opinions always loose. Good politics always win. Very high turnover rate which is utterly ignored by HR and CEO, unfortunately. Strong opposition to hiring smart concept. They always tell you how to perform a task despite they know how poor the proposed solution is when you are an expert in the field. Any other delivery solution which is not 'on-premise' will be one hundred percent denied, rejected, ignored, disturbed, irritated, etc.
