Pros

- Some staff who are willing to support where needed. - Good health benefits package

Cons

- Company clearly does not understand the North American market or how to go about utilizing the resources they hire - CEO is blind to see the real bottlenecks of the company. - If suggestions are made they are completely disregarded or left unassisted by the necessary people to get job done. -NO SALES!! Although compensation looks great on paper, unless you manage the old products, do not expect anything in regards to commissions. - Product has potential if positioned correctly, however, the company focuses more on cash grab then creating appropriate Lead Gen for their sales department. - Lack of marketing support, sales generate sales with no standardized branding material or market competitve info. If asked, management consistently advises a false delivery date, or to create it themselves. - No real implemented strategy, if asked, only direction given is to sell. - Meetings are held to brainstorm, however no items are actioned by appropriate teams.

We thank the ex-employee for their valuable feedback. The comments posted by this ex-employee, are sadly inaccurate. We are sorry to see that they have chosen this means of venting their anger and frustration. Solgenia has been an innovator in the technology arena for over 30 years. Our solutions are currently used in over 3500 organizations around the world and this includes Top Fortune 500 companies, banks, healthcare, finance, insurance, manufacturing and other industry clients. This growth has not come to us as a result of being passive, but as a result of striving to succeed, in spite of all the business challenges we have faced, just like any growing organization does. Today, Solgenia is a strong, focused and growing organization. This is made possible by the hard working men and women around our global offices and who understand the need to grow and have the drive to provide a relentless contribution to the organization on a daily basis. With this comes personal growth and satisfaction for every individual who contributes. As with every fast paced company, our growth is fuelled by servicing customers and driving demand. It is also made possible by each and every member of our global team by bracing for change when dealing with key business challenges. Today, creating and running a large organization is about balancing multiple aspects of the business and for this employee contribution ranks at the top. All business areas are key in making an organization successful including Sales, Marketing, Operations and others. Professionals in these roles need a high level of competency and industry knowledge in order to be successful. Unfortunately sometimes employee and employer synergies do not meet and may lead to a different vision or direction, in which a conflict may arise. Dealing with such circumstances is hard for both employee and employer, but should be done in the most appropriate and professional manner. The ex-employee should have used the right channels to contribute to their daily work and helped address the challenges they faced. Again thank you for your comments and feedback. We wish the ex-employee a great career ahead and hope they find the right career opportunity that aligns with their skills and expertise. While we are happy to address the comments of the ex-employee on Glassdoor, they can also contact our Human Resources department for any further assistance by calling +289.247.2840

Pros

First off, there is a generous handful of great people who work at Solgenia. I enjoyed the earned privilege of working from home for 3 days in the whole year. Which was BS because I was told during the hiring process that working form home would not be an issue and a common practice. The "new" product offering is good (not great by any means), though a bit antiquated compared to the leading cloud offering. That said, if you're considering working at Solgenia, especially in sales/marketing, then get ready to be bamboozled.

Cons

Twas the night before Christmas and I was working away, while completely unaware that it would be my last day. My notes were all entered in salesforce/Blix, as I stood there unaware of the ticking time bomb. I then noticed HR with a letter in one hand, and I thought to myself gee who's getting canned? Though it quickly became evident as I walked into the room, that the letter was foreshadowing my doom. My jokes turned to serious as I thought what the he--? You’re just going to delete me like a column in excel. “I’m sorry you're terminated due to restructuring woes.” Those words knocked me down like a sucker-punch to the nose. The elements of anger and surprise became numbing, as I assure you I certainly did not see this coming. And I knew it wouldn't matter to discuss my appeals, And to kindly remind them of my impending new deals. You see I had worked hard for nearly two years, While crushing the output of 90% of my peers. Working for a company whose walls scream of despair, Overwhelmed with cancellations and declining market share. The opposing directives from one VP to the next, in redundant sales meetings leaving wise one’s perplexed. “Here’s our new strategy, now everybody cheer, and we’ll hope you won’t notice it's recycled from last year!” "But never mind that, hey you got a new deal? Well come up to the front and spin the prize wheel." Now let’s discuss Marketing… actually…. I’ll leave them alone, considering I created most material on my own. They’re a great group of people I can say without a doubt, but you know what they say, garbage in garbage out. Oh... and watch out for channels and their conniving master plan, As they'll screw direct sales reps on any opportunity they can. So I think I've said enough to paint an accurate picture, through my use of creativity and underlined with true stricture. After all I was fired and let go from my position, screwed out of my hard work and my year-end commission & bonus. And so maybe you’ll think twice, do some research, use your wits, Before applying at Solgenia to work with a bunch of misfits.
