Okay but wouldn’t recommend

Pros

External benefits such as flexi time and the ability to work from home were good.

Cons

Very disorganised. Very poor induction. Left hand didn’t know what the right was doing. Poor management. Management would move heaven and earth to find internal jobs for staff if their face fit. Little job security unless you’d been there since the dawn of time. Very little work to do if you didn’t work at a senior level. Old fashioned compared to other local authorities. Wouldn’t have trusted many staff to have tied their own shoe laces.

Very conducive , Supervisors willing, understanding and able to guide you to grow even above your expectation.

Cons

Majority of staff don't reside in Solihull because of the High cost of living

Great, hardworking staff and diverse mix. High standards of performance and operation.

Cons

Rigid, top down culture where bullying was tolerated. At odds with espoused ambition.
