Good company but limited future and very political

Pros

A good amount of interesting work. Stable company. Decent pay. Pretty fair employee evaluation if you keep your head down and avoid the politics. Pretty manageable workload.

Cons

In a niche - tape - that is in long term decline. Growing share of a declining market can make an ok lifestyle but this is never going to be the next Facebook. Benefits pretty stingy.

Thank you. Spectra has been in business for 36 years and we do not anticipate a significant change to the fundamentals of the company. We do manage hiring closely as well as watching expenses as we do not subscribe to the boom-bust management cycle that other hi-tech firms subscribe. Spectra has expanded our product offerings to include disk (Verde and DPE) as well as a private cloud offering (BlackPearl and ArcticBlue). Spectra offers many ways to save customers’ digital data forever. If you would like to discuss any of your comments further please send me an email jeffb@spectralogic.com
