      Overworked and Underpaid

      Pros

      Working there builds awesome faith based relationships with coworkers that help improve personal growth. Knowing that you're making a meaningful impact on the campers and helping them grow toward Christ is rewarding.

      Cons

      OVERWORKED AND UNDERPAID. Day camp workers work 60+ hours a week. When you do the math, that comes out to about 2.69/hr. Unacceptable, especially for such a physically, emotionally, and spiritually demanding job. Management is unprofessional and unorganized. It's so bad that I still haven't been reimbursed for driving 800+ miles at the beginning of the summer (it's august), and this is with constant polite reminders to them AND their bosses.

      People are great, benefits good, fun camp, effective with campers, beautiful, centrally located

      Cons

      Poor management and leadership, unrealistic budget, way too many hours, too much emphasis on growth while not taking care current programs, cant find enough qualified help, doesn't have good reputation among community, not much to do in local area, housing poor, lacks community

      Great place to work. You spend your whole summer getting to swim and do the zipline and talk about Jesus

      Cons

      After doing the math you make less than a dollar an hour which makes it hard especially as a college student
