Unrealiable and Unfortunate

Pros

Many good people. Some departments are organized.

Cons

Family owned, family infighting = difficult situations for some employees. Do not count on doing exactly what they tell you you will be doing in the interviews. Don't count on the profit share. One financial year while I was there, was one of the three most profitable years in the company's history, when it came time to pay out the profit share, one check was cancelled due to the down turn. It was supposed to be paid out because it was earned in a strong year. Not a merit based company and no recognition for extra effort. HR must be billing out many of these reviews. The market knows this company is mismanaged.

Pros

Their is a lot of pros to working here the benefits are fair, decent starting wadge. the knowledge obtained on a daily basis. If you have questions they have a trainer who comes to train the workers and a website at your fingertips. the owners donken, doug and mark McNeil are open and down to earth they come to their different branches and take pride in their company and ask employees questions and will Openly listens to valid complants and trys to straighten them out from top to bottom Strives to hire the best in their field of service write test for knowledge evaluation and get raise. Generous to the community and involved in continuing education. traveling to different branches observing different applications.

Cons

Cons working at stream flo dangerous work. certain employee's get flavored treatment by managers hollidays were not given fairly, the favored wrote the schedule to the way they deem fit and ok by managment. i was there four years plus, and had 8 long weekend over that period. and i was on call the rest of them. stat holidays i had off i booked them off and got told about taking a couple of those. there's no team a crew lead will take all the glory and if things go wrong its the helpers fault. They take your ideas and use them for themselves. Having the best in their field of service they are there because they worked their way to the top and now their work is done. and not willing to give answers to questions about their field. When answers are needed asap. there's is no direction at time when its needed. set up to fail.today is the test tomorrow is the exam. talking to the owners will get you blacklisted. the trainer only comes every so often and is usually only there 1 to 2 days. write test for knowledge pass them and management say you are not ready and won't advance your pay to deemed knowledge. have you work on equipment that is above your pay grade. There's no communication between departments everything is a secret. not knowing what you are doing from day to day. Traveling to different branches extended period of time.
