There is no HR polices defined to govern its operations. The policies were made overnight and scrapped overnight as per HR's wish. There is no HR and employee engagements. The only festival they celebrate is Christmas just to impress clients by showing celebration photos!!! They don't even hoist flag on Independence day and when asked about it they say there is no one to take responsibilities and their shift always starts at 2 PM which bans them from making arrangements for celebrations!!! When there is a client visit they are ready to stay awake overnight to make sure his stay at Sun is pleasurable but they give non-sense reasons when it comes to national days celebrations!
In one sentence "they are just slaves of their CLIENTS!!!"
The extra curricular activities according to Sun is a Dinner party once a year and that too only when some VIP visits and the ground reason is again to impress client but not to entertain it's employees. There is no family get together events.
HR and some other team never bothers to reply when they are at the receiving end if the issues raised and this shows how professional they are in doing business. They don't have any qualities which IT company suppose to have. Few higher management people talks to employee's in singular and they don't bother to reveal any employees weakness in town hall meetings and they are least bothered for it's employees emotions which again shows their work ethics!
The managers are adamant.. they claim they respect their employees but when it comes to work ethics it's not always a win to win situation. The employee retention policy at Sun is "SEND A EMPLOYEE TO CLIENTS LOCATION FOR FEW DAYS AND THEN ASK HIM TO SIGN A YEAR AGREEMENT". They don't even bother to ask commitment when employee dares to ask certain internal training's!
Training at Sun is almost nil but if there is any that will be for Managers,Team leads and higher managements. They don't care for employees career growth. The motto here is you work like a donkey and get paid with peanuts!
The employer is not concerned about employees personal life. There is zero work and life balance. Being a start-up company all that matters to them is billing. You are entitled to get 2.5 leaves per month but you are expected to work 365 days a year!!! THERE IS NO HOLIDAY for NATIONAL DAYS, MAJOR FESTIVALS and government declared holidays be it the case of some strike, elections or some national emergencies.
The additional benefits they quote here is complimentary breakfast, dinner with pickle and chutney. Don't be surprised to listen all these words from higher management. Almost all leaves are compromised with adjusted weekly offs, don't expect a junior employee in a team to get weekly offs on Saturday's and Sunday's as these weekly offs are only reserved for senior team members(As if they only got family life but not others)
Overall the final verdict is "THERE IS NO CORPORATE CULTURE AT SUN AND DON'T EXPECT WORK AND LIFE BALANCE HERE. THE HR POLICY IS VERY VERY BAD, ZERO CAREER GROWTH. THE ISSUES RAISED ALWAYS GOES UN-NOTICED(Even if noticed goes un-addressed) BE WITH HR OR WITH SOME OTHER MANAGEMENT MEMBERS"
