    Pros

They are not quick to fire people. As long as you do your job, it’s yours for as long as you want it.

    Cons

Benefits could be better. WFH should be a permanent option.

    Pros

    Easy job with predictable hours.

    Cons

Heavy corporate politics. High turnover. Holidays, if they come at all, are announced shortly beforehand so that employees cannot make plans.

    Leasing Assistant Entry Level Job

Oct 10, 2021 - Leasing Assistant in New York, NY

    Pros

Onboarded through a temp agency. The duties are pretty straight forward. We schedule appointments, show apartments, respond to email inquiries and do any necessary administrative work. We also deal with current tenants who for the most part is generally ok so of course have some problematic or entitled ones from time to time. This is a relatively low stress job.

    Cons

They will randomly change your schedule depending on their needs. And they are very rigid when it comes to swapping your schedule with a fellow Leasing agent which makes no sense. It’s always a bigger deal than it needs to be.

Little incentive to do good work

May 4, 2021 - Leasing Assistant in New York, NY

    Pros

You get to see rich people be rich.

    Cons

Zero incentive to perform well. For being a heavy-lifter in the sales process, you're paid minimum wage with no commissions or praise for raking in cash for a large developer. Backwards management who scolds you for taking sick days (nobody wants a sick person showing them homes!). Inane dress code that neither reflects the quality or vibe of the buildings.
