Pros

Good pay and benefits, name recognition, newsroom experience and free food. There aren’t very many pros to working here really.

Cons

Heed the warnings, don’t let the fact that TMZ is well known lure you into taking a job here, because you will quickly regret it. If you do, forget about any self respect you think you have for yourself. You will be yelled at and constantly belittled over frivolous things in front of your co workers. Management will never take any responsibility or have your back and their mistakes will get blamed on you. They will never tell you how to do the job, and if you ask questions they will make you feel really small. They will just tell you to use your best judgement. Therefore, when you try and use your best judgement on a task and they don’t like how it’s done, be prepared to get screamed at. It’s always a lose a lose situation. A double edged sword one might say. You can never win or please anyone here. You will end up feeling mentally and physically drained in a matter of weeks. 10.5 hour days are a minimum. 6am call time. Most people that take a job here usually don’t end up staying long. You WILL walk into work everyday asking yourself how you will survive through the day because basically that’s all this job really is... learning how to survive each day. If you value yourself and your intelligence, don’t work here. You will just end up becoming Harvey Levin’s puppet on a string.

Pros

Take or leave it, you can't say you've worked at a place like this before or after. The best parts are 1) I leave my work at work every day 2) Decent pay figuring it's full time gig in a part time industry 3) Good benefits 4) Great co-workers. 5) Lots of Free food, if you don't like diversity in your diet you literally can eat here everyday and never buy breakfast or lunch.

Cons

Hired for one show but work on 3-4. Very little communication about future plans, work hours and obligations can shift drastically on one days notice. People are yelled at constantly for mundane things. Higher ups who disregard your workflow but expect you to constantly keep up with theirs

Just a name

Pros

The name is all I got out of this place when I left. Chill job at night but soon as you move into the day time the pressure increases dramatically. Free food Fridays. Decent benefits. Front row to gossip if youre into that.

Cons

Toxic environment. Never really feel too appreciated. Expect to multi task as it's going to happen when time crunches appear. It is a LIVE show and so A LOT is going on for deadlines to be met.
