Topic is quite an unique company.
No check-in check-out as in other companies I have worked for, they trust us.
If you are without a project you are on the bench, not fired. And you do have a real say when deciding which project is best suited for you.
Company was sold to a french company in March 2023 because the CEO is retiring. But we, normal workers, were told in September 2022. Elsewhere such announcements are always after the sale, never before. It is quite unusual to find a company which puts so much trust in its workers. After 18 months the new owners are still respecting our way of work.
We get a regular chat with our manager every 4-6 weeks. In some of my past jobs I only got to chat with my manager when there was trouble.
Getting in is not easy because only the best are hired. Which is great if you get in, awesome colleagues.
Cons
Scrum everywhere. Though that may be an advantage for those who like it.
Company and colleagues are awesome. So salary should be awesome but it is not, salary is good.
