Great short term job. Incapable and short-sighted management.

Pros

Met a lot of friends. Good money and great food. Loved the location.

Cons

Management was often immature and also uneducated. Most managers did not have a college degree and often made fun of employees who did. Sexual harassment and bullying is a huge issue that was often swept under the carpet. Also, management tended to fraternize with it's employees, often hurting or getting employees fired. Management had no real vision other than employing it's current model. It's a good ole' boys club that has no real interest in cultivating professionalism and ingenuity in their employees. Mangers were often hypocritical and unethical.

Pros

Worked here for many years. Such a caring company and fun environment. Good hours. Good benefits. Gives back to the community and good management.

Cons

Semi high tip out and sometimes the support staff doesn’t help as much as you would like.

Pros

The Ohana cultivated in these restaurants is real. I have made lifelong friends and better sharpened my skills to better serve my career down the line.

Cons

Being the only person of color in a working environment is always a challenge. Code switching is a part of your reality. In the end I was harassed multiple times by a manager over my hair which follow all the rules. He made up rules, humiliated me in front of my peers, retaliated when I brought the issue up to the higher ups. Eventually my issue made its way across the CEO's desk. She assured me this was not a reflection of TS and the way they do things. That said the pressures of working with a bigoted manager forced me to leave. I would hope the company really does learn. I do not enjoy being a martyr or racially profiled or looking for a new job because my boss doesn't like me.
