Fair Employer, Good Potential, some attrition

      Pros

Good community of coworkers and events to build camaraderie, people are generally pretty nice including the internal customers you will serve. Directors will make an effort to get to know you, Managers are generally fair and good natured. A mix of senior and junior employees, many different departments, lots to learn from, visible career advancement opportunities. In house seminars to try and train/nurture talent. Good perks/equipment/office, real RTP corporate experience, this is one of the most promising midcap sp500 companies with a solid balance sheet, acquiring great product lines. Job security is good.

      Cons

Ambitious project/timelines pushed hard by management has causes high turnover rate of senior specialized technical staff (10+ yrs), which has severe ripple effect on team. Problem is amplified by less competitive starting salaries, scrambling to quickly replacement specialized talent in turn leaves them with high expectations for ROI on new and less experienced hires to naturally understand messy in house developed applications they are very dependent on with LOTS OF TECHNICAL DEBT, this is a VICIOUS cycle. There's a grind, you have a consistent amount of work to do, but at the same time you're expected to identify and solve large problems to show initiative if you want to advance. If you're type A, tenure expectations, play your cards close and ease into it, it's gonna take a while, if you force it, you're just going to invite a lot of work for not a lot of reward. HR has very positive morale boosting people, but they just don't seem to be available when you really need them.

      Interesting work, poor advancement opportunities

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Health benefits, work-life balance and excellent annual leave. Overtime is not expected. Quite technical and you will learn and work with a wide variety of departments, from finance to couriers, reporting, logistics and supply chain.

      Cons

Very few opportunities to advance. Not a place where you can realistically "climb the ladder". Full-time working remotely is not an option due to management's baseless mistrust of employees.

      Great Benefit but micro management

      Pros

Great Benefits and compensation Co-workers are great

      Cons

Poor time management at Corporate level. Corporate guys does not know what they want and almost every request is urgent and due on the same day. Local management team is extremely micro managing their employees. No work life balance as bosses expect you to be on call 24/7 (even though company does not pay your phone bill). Boss can call you when you are sleeping or eating and expecting you to drop anything you are doing outside office hours to entertain their request.
