Pros

Beautiful office. Connections to government agencies. Strong financial backing. C-suite has put in place initiatives that are inspiring for example amazon cloud service trainings and the SIU programme.

Cons

Top heavy, keep on hiring managerial level and above staff, without bolstering their actual working level personnel. Lots of fat cats that come in through referral that honestly can’t perform. A strong Singaporean Core advertised by management but honestly the culture is more defined by a single foreign race. Which more often then not strives for the betterment of their own race. A culture of hierarchy, that honestly is inefficient to say the least. Efficient and effective staff are overworked and more often rewarded with the work of fat cats who got in via connections. Real talent has consistently voiced out only to submit their resignation when they fall on deaf ears. KC is great, his lieutenants are unfortunately not.

Pros

- Nice and spacious office, cool pantry offerings. There are 2 pantries! - Teammates (excluding those ranked managers and above) are cool - Temasek 爷爷 backing - all tables are adjustable - cool stuff - far from MRT but walk is sheltered all the way

Cons

- Very hierarchical as much as they claim they’re not - lots of politics in higher management levels - leaders want to have their big titles but push away ownership and responsibility - benefits are not the worst but other tech firms have much better benefits - information from top not disseminated down properly causing miscommunication and confusion - back to above point of not taking ownership when things go wrong - very top heavy - for what? - those on top are not hands on/ willing to do dirty work, but there are not many non-management executives to help do their work therefore overworking the few little who are still around - if your ranking is not manager and above, you are the lowest life form and will not be appreciated / thanked for your contribution - leaders protect their clients instead of their team - goes for corporate function departments also. They listen to stakeholders’ complaints without clarifying with own team first. - always promotes Temasek backing but it really doesn’t mean much. Management does not have it together and is very messy overall - leaders instill fear instead of trying to empower and motivate. yet they try to constantly build good rapport with other stakeholders Whoever is reading this - hope you question how you treat your own team too and not just other departments.

Pros

Nice office, well stocked pantry

Cons

- Very long hours throughout the project (working at least 16 hours a day. Typical day is work-eat-sleep). This is provided you are lucky to have some decent sleeping time). Team felt overworked all the time. - There is no concept of public holiday as team would be working over public holidays - Some project managers cannot manage the client and highlight if there is scope creep. Hence, teams are spending a lot of time doing work that are out of scope - There is simply not enough people working on projects are management are only concerned with recovery of cost (costing were not done properly) - When teams are already doing their utmost best to rush to complete reach sprint, all the team got from the management is ‘is it ready? Can we quickly get these bugs fixed? Tell me when can I see the prelim results? You need to manage my expectations?’.
