Pros

This organization had a wonderful reputation as a leader in understanding and translating research to policy for many years.

Cons

Since its longtime ED retired, the organization has struggled significantly and is barely keeping its doors open. In the last 4 months of 2024, it lost 5 staff, including 4 senior staff.

Pros

I love working at The Sentencing Project. The staff are incredibly smart and they are really making a tangible difference in the criminal legal reform space. The culture supports a healthy work/life balance and the Executive Director is a phenomenal boss.

Cons

All staff are required to come into the office two days a week, so if you prefer to work remotely, this might not be the best fit.
