Pros

Serious about theatre and dance being accessible to all. Work environment is warm and you can be yourself. New ideas are encouraged by directors.

Cons

Working on collaborative projects across departments isn't their strong point.

Good company that does meaningful work

Pros

If you are passionate about theater, you'll be surrounded by others who are as well. In certain positions, you get to see theater for free. TDF has a great education program that you can volunteer to work workshops (so for example you can learn puppetry as well)

Cons

They are tied up by the rest of Broadway bureaucracy, so it can be difficult for progress. If you work at TKTS, you'll learn tourists are not used to paying Broadway prices and they will say that in so many words. It's difficult to move up in the company because people like to stay there (which is also a good sign).
