Pros

There are no pros to working at Thinkproject. Be warned.

Cons

What a disaster, where to start. The company is in total disarray, every colleague I have spoken to is unhappy or unwell and looking for a way out. Staffing level are obviously too high which may be pre planned as they anticipate poor staff retention this year due to treating staff badly. The onboarding process consists of leaving you to it but the systems are so overly complicated and unorganised that new starters stand little or no chance of finding any relevant information. Managers are often condescending or passive aggressive and do not like to be questioned. If you do have any queries on products responses are slow if at all, which can be very frustrating. Targets change throughout the year and any payments on quota achievement is backdated. I’ve heard horror stories from a number of long standing colleagues of vastly reduced bonuses or even no payment at all! The UK business is under immense pressure from Group (Germany) to deliver massive growth without any regard for staff wellbeing or indeed customer experience. It may be the case that the brand is being prepared for sale by the owner, a private equity fund? I was so excited to start working at TP but it’s not at all as I expected. Please take time to reach out to any current employees on LinkedIn and speak to them before you consider leaving your current role.

Pros

Talented, cooperative, and congenial colleagues. Lots of learning opportunities. Travel opportunities to Germany. High flexibility. No mandatory return to the office post-COVID.

Cons

Promotion opportunities were nonexistent, with management unable to provide valid reasons for repeated denials. Compensation was significantly below the standard market rate. The company originally had a smaller, more personable culture, which was nearly ruined by the takeover. Middle management exhibited political behavior, often conveying inconsistent messages to different stakeholders. There was an apparent preparation for a potential sale of the company, leading to cost-cutting measures affecting lower-level employees disproportionately, while higher-level management remained unaffected.
