Pros

1. No Pros of Working at Third Eye as such. Just that, you will get exposure to good projects compared to Kolkata's standards, but not better projects than startups in Bangalore, Chennai or NCR. 2. Team mates and colleagues are extremely good and helpful.

Cons

ThirdEye Data is an extremely execrable organization to start with. It's a company where I wouldn't even want my foes to work in. During my tenure at ThirdEye, I have come across several illegal practices that happens under the hood, and for which the management is not held accountable by anyone. Who would right? It's a company which has not been able to cross 25 employees in last 10 years! (Does it ring a bell why?). All those articles, all those blogs, all those names that you see in their website, will make you believe that ThirdEye data is the company to work for! The so-called 'myriad' of tech startups in Kolkata. Having worked in ThirdEye for a significantly long enough time, I can tell you, the website is a complete propaganda. It will make you believe Third Eye is the greatest place to work in. But all that is a lie. Let's dig and quickly iterate over key points. Before moving on to the below points, you should be aware that the company is run by a husband and a wife. The husband is the CEO, the wife is the CTO. 1. Your typical day will start at 9AM and might end up at as late as at 1:00 AM in the night. You will have multiple calls with the so called chief and other team members. Calls will nearly occupy you for most of the time. From 9AM 3-4 hours of internal calls. 5-6 hours of unproductive work. Daily, 24*5, sometimes 24*7. Once the office timing ends (around 7:30PM), you will have client calls scheduled in the evening. Typically it starts at 7:45, and then back to back client calls till late midnight. As late as 1:00 AM. This happens daily. So in short, daily you will have to have approximately 4-5 hours of calls (Skype, Zoom etc). Almost everyday. If you give any excuse, you are humiliated publicly and sometimes you might get fired as well. 2. The person is an extremely unprofessional, unethical and disreputable personality who does not deserve to be in the position of CTO. She has made racist comments against Bengali community in the past. I have a recording of that, if you want. True racist comments for which there are strict rules in the US to be put into jail. She is the one who 'leads' and 'delivers' all the projects (of course miserably). So if you join ThirdEye, you will have to work with her. Daily. 24*7. She treats her employees as slaves and cheap labors. She will ask you to join a sudden (calls are always unplanned and sudden) at 9AM. You will join the call and keep waiting in Zoom for another 30 minutes, because she is having a different discussion with someone else. Not even a basic courtesy. No respect for others' time, right? Extremely narrow minded and she always scrutinizes people in front of other people. She has a habit of talking behind the back of her employees. 3. She will always find ways to humiliate and ridicule people. She will discuss her private family affairs over office calls, which according to me is extremely unprofessional at an organizational level. They call themselves Silicon Valley type work culture driven? I can't believe how delusional they are. She has no understanding of technology and start-ups work in general. A college kid would know more. Her only focus is on creating the best looking power-point presentations to provide the best impression to the clients. So at ThirdEye if you are a software engineer or data engineer or data scientist, more often than not you will spend more time fixing the power-point styles and fonts and tables rather than fine tuning or improving your code. 4. ThirdEye HR, they will call you during the interview process, but they will never tell you that ThirdEye doesn't pay any provident fund to employees. This is a criminal offense in the court of law. I did not know about it earlier. I wouldn't have joined if I was made aware of it. 5. I have seen people getting fired from ThirdEye left and right. Imagine you are not able to join a call on a certain day because of personal work, or you point a finger to the CTOs style of working, you are fired. Imagine you have an online certification exam to pass for which you may ask not to join the call on a particular day, you are fired. 6 The Management will burden you with meaningless work irrelevant to your profile. And you have to do it! I have seen people having a huge mental strain which impacts the body and the mind. Even if you are sick, you will be forced to work. If not, you are fired. Covid? You have to work. 7. Leaves are paltry. Only 14 leaves a year. That too they don't appreciate people taking any leaves. For a 2 day leave, you will have to sanction it 2 months before. Imagine ???!!! 8. If you are serving notice period in ThirdEye, and you post on LinkedIn about the same, the CEO will call you, thrash you left and right, and immediately fire you, without any compensation. 9. In office calls, there are a lot of times when the CTO just starts discussing her personal stuffs (non-work related), and we just have to listen. This is absolutely crazy. She will never schedule a meeting from before. She always calls people unplanned and uninformed. You have to take the one hour call even if you have to skip your lunch for it. 10. Things which should take ideally 1 day to complete takes a week. Why? Because there are no proper tech leads and tech architects to drive the business. 11. There is absolutely no job security in ThirdEye. For personal differences, the management will fire you without even a days notice. There are many cases like this, that I have personally witnessed. 12. The CEO also forces his certain employees to post good reviews in Glassdoor. If you look at the pattern of the positive reviews, they are mostly one liners. Simple copy paste. Whereas if you have looked at the negative reviews for ThirdEye, most of them are in depth and in detail. In short, if you work at ThirdEye, you will be nothing more than just a slave. It doesn't matter how much experience you have. If a true investigation committee is set-up and their finances are cross-checked with a proper team from the Income Tax department, this company will immediately cease to exist. ThirdEye is not only a major insult to the tech world, but it's also an insult to humanity. The most unethical company, the most unprofessional company, the most fraud company.

We generally tend to think that the persons who give feedback are actually our wellwishers as they are taking the time and effort to tell us about us so that we can improve. But reading this review, it clearly demonstrates that this reviewer has a personal ax to grind and totally acting with malicious intent. Summing up the feedback, the reviewer acknowledges that ThirdEye has some extremely good projects, has very good employees but has some serious issues with its co-founders. Talking about the co-founders, both of them immigrated to the US 25+ years ago after graduating from top universities in India & Australia, have worked in software development roles in top companies in the US, before cofounding ThirdEye. Since then, in the last 10 years, they have worked with 30+ companies worldwide, and have delivered 100+ projects. So, yes, they do know a thing or two about software engineering. Talking about ThirdEye, the extremely good projects that ThirdEye normally works on also are extremely hard to acquire. They only come by when one has executed diligently, many times over the years, and ensured 100% customer success. To date, most of its customers are repeat customers with long-term contracts. These customers have been us their testimonials which have been independently verified by Clutch. You can see them here: https://clutch.co/profile/thirdeye-data. You can click this link to see the decks that showcase ThirdEye's core competencies, customer testimonials, recent wins, and marquee projects. This will give you a better idea about the kind of projects ThirdEye implements for enterprises worldwide. https://thirdeyedata.docsend.com/view/s/f6twcwtuv4f8viur All in all, business success speaks for itself.

Pros

The company is mainly run by husband and wife and they are such a non-professional that they fire people for personal reasons and do not pay any pending salary of the employees. This has happened to many employees.

Cons

Employees are leaving this company, New as well as old employees. Do not join this company if you want a secured future. Thank You There is no work-life balance, you will be asked to work every waking hour for the company. There are no proper seniors to guide you, if you are new joiner.

ThirdEye is a family-run business where both the founders of the company come from technical backgrounds having worked in the Silicon Valley, USA for more than 2 decades. ThirdEye's policies ensure that there is a legal process that is undertaken for every underperforming employee. After going through this whole process, if the employee is still not performing at the expected levels, then they are let go. We have bank records to prove that salaries are ALWAYS paid on time. Pros

No such pros just the pay is good compared to market.

Cons

Read carefully if you intend to join this company. Firstly, all the positive reviews are fake or probably employees were forced to write those. There's no one in the company who wants to be here or likes the company/its owners. The company hardly has 10-12 employees (developers). All the new recruits are hardly lasting for 2-3 months in the company because of the mental stress that they have to go through on a daily basis alongwith that all the experienced employees have also left the company.. company is currently being run by guys who hardly have 1-2 years of working experience in IT industry. 1.Talking about the projects that the company works on. Please do not get carried away and impressed by whatever you find on the company's website. It's exaggerated to another level. The company has never really done a big project till date. It's mostly POC kind of work that they get considering the employee strength and expertise the company can never even get a big project as it's not capable of delivering. The projects hardly last for 3-4 months. By this you can have an idea about the scale of projects. Also from a company working with 10-12 employees you cannot expect them to be working on big real time projects. 2. Because of the mental pressure and humiliation that the employees are put into, there have been a few incidents in the company where the concerned employee had to actually seek medical help because of stress and mental breakdowns due to the unimaginable work load that was put on them. 3. There's too much of politics under the hood but owners also promise a zero politics environment. To the extent where employees are asked to show personal messages over screen share( professional enough?) Rants about personal life and typical husband-wife issues to certain employees. That's not the silicon valley culture that's being advertised right? 4. The company's management does not even care about the 'P' in 'Professionalism'. The funny part is that the CEO endorses a transparent and open culture in the company where employees have freedom to speak. The reality is just the opposite, the employees very well know that they will be fired if they speak a word against the management. You will be thrown out from the company anytime if you cannot be in the good books ( mostly by the buttering process mentioned in the beginning). To sum it up there is ZERO JOB SECURITY in the company. 5. There was an instance where an employee was asked to leave the company by the CEO over email. The reason was that he enquired about the delay in salary disbursement (on 4th day of a month) whereas the salary generally gets credited by the 1st day of month. That actually shows how much the company values it's resources even after working for 14-15 hours a day. Treating the employees like cheap labors/ slaves will never take the company anywhere. 6. In the last 3 years company's employee strength in Kolkata has decreased from 30 to 10. That says it all. In almost every townhall the CEO has been talking about expanding but that's never happening till the company stops treating it's employees like machines, till the company starts valuing the employees and their hardwork, contribution and retain the employees. 7. Social media accounts of employees like LinkedIn are tracked by the management and they instruct employees or rather force employees to remove whatever they think is not good for the company (employees are slaves, don't forget). An open to new roles status on Linkedin apparently destroys company's reputation so the CEO forces/threatens employee to remove that. (Real incident)
