Pros

The annual offsite in Europe has the potential to be an enjoyable experience.

Cons

Working at Threecolts poses challenges due to excessively long working hours and low compensation. The frequent terminations create a stressful atmosphere for remaining employees. Additionally, the lack of product growth and the continuous loss of clients contribute to an unfavorable working environment.

Pros

The only pro I can think of at this job was my immediate team was lovely. There was nothing else to recommend it.

Cons

Where to start: CEO - Immature Leadership: The CEO comes across as immature, often displaying behavior that resembles a child. This includes throwing tantrums and making abrupt decisions without proper consideration. - Poor Communication: Communication is a significant issue; the CEO is a terrible communicator who frequently changes his mind at the drop of a hat, leading to confusion and uncertainty within the team. - Lack of People Management Skills: There is a notable inability to manage people effectively. His disrespect for human management principles prevents any team from truly thriving. - Overbearing and Uncollaborative: He believes he can do everything better than his team, refusing to accept advice or collaborate, which stifles innovation and growth. - Inconsistent Goal Setting: His tendency to move the goalposts constantly prevents teams from setting clear objectives and fully reaching their potential. - Financial Wastefulness: His impulsive behavior often results in wasted resources, as decisions are made without proper strategic planning. Senior Management Team - Toxic Environment: The toxic culture at the senior management level is a major drawback. Both the CEO and CPO contribute to a high-stress environment where drama is both denied and inadvertently created. - High Turnover: There is a consistent pattern of staff departures, with many leaving due to the poor management practices at the senior level. This continual turnover disrupts team cohesion and morale. - Lack of Effective Leadership: The senior management demonstrates a lack of essential leadership abilities, failing to provide clear direction or support for their teams. - Disrespectful Treatment: Staff members are treated poorly, with little recognition of their contributions. This not only affects productivity but also diminishes overall job satisfaction. - Stifled Innovation: With an environment where advice is neither welcomed nor valued, employees are discouraged from taking initiative or proposing creative solutions. Additional Concerns - Inconsistent Strategic Vision: The lack of a coherent, long-term strategic vision leads to constant changes in direction, causing uncertainty across all levels of the company. - Inefficient Decision-Making Processes: Decision-making is often rushed and inconsistent, resulting in policies and initiatives that are poorly executed. - Limited Professional Development: The environment does not support or encourage professional growth, leaving talented employees with few opportunities to advance their skills or careers. - Morale and Culture Issues: The combination of poor leadership, high turnover, and a toxic work culture results in low employee morale and a pervasive sense of dissatisfaction across the organization.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We understand this was a difficult experience for you and we’re genuinely sorry to hear it. As a fast-growing business, we’ve gone through significant changes over the last few years. That growth has brought challenges — some we’ve handled well, others we’ve learned from and taken steps to improve. We’ve been deliberate about evolving how we lead, communicate, and structure the company, and that work is ongoing. While we won’t comment on individual leaders, we are confident in the direction we’re headed. We’ve added experienced talent across the business, including in executive and operational leadership. We’ve also implemented more consistent processes, clearer accountability structures, and are investing in how we support and develop our teams at every level. No company is perfect, and we know we’re not an exception. But we remain committed to building a culture that values ownership, contribution, and real collaboration — and we’re thankful for the people, past and present, who’ve helped us get here. We appreciate your time at Threecolts and wish you all the best going forward.
