Pros

Low standards and high turnover means you can use the company as a springboard to boost your pay somewhere else. That's pretty much it. Do not linger here.

Cons

First off, terrible pay and frankly insulting raises. You can fully expect that they won't even beat inflation in any given year, so after the first year you're actually making less than what you started at. Low standards and high turnover means the company only retains the bottom of the barrel of workers, which inevitably means the incompetence in management runs clear to the top. Micromanaging like you would not believe. Very much a company that thinks it owns your life because they send you a paycheck. Work-life balance is nonexistent; you can fully expect that managers from multiple levels are working nearly every weekend and will contact you on weekends as well. Don't fall for this trap! If you respond, they'll suck you in to dealing with inconsequential work that has no business being done on a weekend. The vacation time is laughable. They talk it up like it's some big deal, but it's a lousy three weeks a year and your sick leave comes out of it. That's IF you ever get to take vacation, which I never got to do in my two years their. The equipment is all old and outdated. It does the job, but there is no future in working here. The company is too cheap to hire proper auditors, so the managers are constantly grinding away their lives reviewing paperwork. This means that getting to management level is WORSE than just staying an FSE, as you will be fully expected to throw your life away for the sake of paperwork, and you'll be underpaid on top of that. A couple of years or so at this place is the most any self-respecting person should subject themselves to, but ideally no more than a year. On more than one occasion, I coworkers leave within a few months of hiring because they realized what a wretched company this is.
