Pros

I enjoyed the product they carried.

Cons

Absolutely terrible environment. I feel compelled to write this so yet another person doesn't make the mistake of seeking employment here. Since it is a relatively small company, the owner is heavily involved and unfortunately terrible to employees. The owner screams at employees on a daily basis for things as trivial as the way in which they worded questions. I literally had him go ballistic on me (and others) for uttering the phrase, “Can I ask you a question?” Once I saw him screaming at a woman who had just come back from 7 weeks of chemo therapy—she was literally sitting at her desk with a wig on while he berated her in front of everyone. It was later divulged to me by many employees, that the company is a revolving door because people that have to work with him directly often quit after they’ve had enough of the abusive and irrational behavior. There are a handful of employees that have been there for a while and unfortunately, because the owner is allow to behave badly, they feel they can too. Employees are so scared of him that they throw each other “under the bus” in order to avoid his ravings. Because of the job description, I had suspicions that the position was in reality several very different positions rolled into one. I very specifically asked in the interview about this and about how long the previous person held the position I was interviewing for. The owner was dishonest. I later found out that the last person in the position only made it 4 weeks before he quit. I was also told that people in the office had a BET going on how long I'd last before I quit. In terms of the job itself: I was hired to do sales and marketing but once an employee, was put in charge of their entire ecommerce including completely redoing and fixing their presence on Overstock.com-from remerchandising product all the way to troubleshooting IT issues that were affecting how the merchandise info was load. I had no experience in the IT aspect whatsoever and this as definitely not mentioned in the interview. So even though my work load was that of 2 employees, I was maintaining because the owner insists that salary employees be in by 7:45 and work a full day. Pay was in no way commensurate with work load or hours because the owner was so cheap. Just to give you an idea, he would not even provide paper towels in the break room or anywhere else in the entire office. Staff would have to take them from the shared bathroom in the office building. No paper products or utensils in breakroom either. Meanwhile, he had his own private stash in his office. How sick is that? I made it a whopping 5 weeks before I left after he screamed at me for for wasting his time

Pros

Other than a paycheck there are no pros.

Cons

Do yourself a favor, do not leave a company to work at this organization. No other company can be as bad as this one. Toxic environment where the company leader takes pleasure in humiliating employees. Turnover is high for good reasons.

Pros

It's a job, over worked long hours short 30min break if possible. Bonus and commissions not given.

Cons

No Dental, No HR or any acting department rep. Over bearing micro managing CEO/President to all employees, even personnel with 10yrs plus. High turnover with a small staff of a little over 20. No team players, poor management on all levels.
