Pros

Good pay for the role and industry. Overall work–life balance is solid, with reasonable hours and flexibility in most cases. The company offers good learning opportunities and exposure to different projects, which can help build skills and experience.

Cons

The experience can really depend on the team you’re placed in. Management style, workload, and support vary, so not everyone’s experience will be the same.

Pros

Being the transit authority for Metro Vancouver means that there's always a lot of projects and things going on if you're willing to look for it. There's tons of great people willing to sharing their work and having you on board. The benefits are great as well.

Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy that slows down projects. It is ultimately a creation of legislation and so is still hindered by that. There's a lack of documentation which also makes things hard to get up to speed with.
