Unorganized upper management, do not embrace/use technology, lots of turnover, not given tools or authority to do your job, lots of back-stabbing, employees do not work well together, negative work environment, poor management styles and goal setting, lots of micromanaging.
Older generation management do not like new ideas. I've been through business school and hit lots of resistance in the culture. They do not want to hear research or best practices in doing things. Walking into Treetop you will go back in time 10-15 years. Little automation in plants, mountains of paperwork, and manual employee crewing. Little communication companywide.
As a production supervisor if you don't spend 60 hour per week at work you will be looked down upon and chastised. Management do not have a concept of work-life balance and balancing workloads. All employees salary and hourly are treated like a number -expense.
