Poor Leadership of Good Employees

Pros

Company has some of the best Engineers/Designers I have ever worked with, Decent benefits and free lunch when you are at the office, excellent social events and overall an interesting field to work in.

Cons

Leadership is poor, There is a dismissive attitude about issues in the organisation, unless it has been raised by a C-level, The founder cares little of the opinions of non-technical individuals and as such Engineering moves largely without business direction, it also seemingly moves on a whim, with little resistance from others at a senior level. The COO is abrupt and unapproachable, who rarely takes responsibility for his errors, while happily giving employees a dressing down publicly. There are great middle managers who are overworked and quickly blamed for any shortcomings, regardless of the cause. There is also some silly politicking going on, which does happen in lots of companies, although in Trilitech it does feel like a medieval court (Whoever sits closest to the King holds most sway).

Thank you for your review, and for your recognition of our strong talent bench, which we are very proud of. We appreciate all feedback and take it very seriously. We are sorry to hear that you have found some of the leadership dynamics challenging. At Trilitech, fostering an environment where every voice is heard and valued is a paramount objective. We recognise the importance of the value that diverse perspectives bring to the table, and concerns of the kind you are raising are something we are always committed to addressing if found to be of substance. Regarding our COO, we regret that you have experienced instances where you did not feel valued or supported. We are surprised to receive this feedback, and note that such situations might stem from misunderstandings or misinterpretations. Our COO is deeply committed to upholding a professional and respectful work environment across the company and has an open door policy in regards to any feedback and concerns. We are dedicated to ensuring that these standards are met consistently, and we are keen to address and rectify any situations that objectively would not meet the test. Again, your feedback is appreciated and it helps us identify potential areas for improvement. If you're open to it, we'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to further discuss your experiences and gather more detailed feedback.

Toxic Leadership

Pros

They hire a bunch of talented ppl from big tech and other industries, however, not a lot of crypto native folks. London office is nice and employees get free lunch everyday.

Cons

I worked at TT for about a year and never have I worked in a more toxic environment. This is the type of place where they fire people on the spot and escort you out of the building like a criminal. Business decisions were made last minute without any strategy or resources to execute on projects. And hey I get it, this is Web3, fail fast right? The problem was in the lack of accountability from leadership in their own decision making and when something blew up it was always someone else's fault. It’s not only employees that were mistreated. If you really want to know what it’s like to work in the Tezos ecosystem, dig deeper and look beyond the jazzy office and free lunch. Speak to some of the builders in the ecosystem about their experiences. Look into what happened to TQ Tezos, TZ Connect, Tezos Ukraine, Tezos Israel, and on and on. Culture starts from the top. Is it coincidence or is there a common thread?

We are sorry to read about how you experienced our organisation. Trilitech has grown rapidly in the past years, during a period of change and acceleration in sector, which brings exciting opportunities but naturally also its share of pressures. We continue to make all effort to adjust and perfect our processes and organisation and very much welcome the feedback from colleagues and community members. - Robin, Chief Operating Officer
