Upper management is a total mess. All year long my job description constantly changed with out notice or communication of the "new way". When you then don't do it the new way, you are at fault. A typical work week for an account manager is 70 hours a week, for 40 hours pay. And when you get home there is more paperwork to track the data.
Then at review time this will be used to give you only an average review that is just an excuse to not give out raises, and when you ask about a raise after all your hard work has been brushed off you're told if you work harder the "bonus program" will pay you more. The bonus program is based on sales gross profit. It is designed I such a way that unless you are literally robbing customers you will not meet enough goals to receive any significant payout. If you do 1 million in revenue at 35% profit you won't meet your goals 10 out of 12 months.
