Pros

One would think designing clothes for young girls would be full of fun days playing with glitter, fun patterns, and an overall fun working environment within a team. This is not the case, so unfortunately the only pros have nothing to do with the job. I would say benefits are pretty good, but could be better. Company events are nice, but honestly don't make up for all of the cons.

Cons

Where do I start? I honestly feel bad for anyone that works on the design team even though they all kind of deserve each other. Expect to be gossiped about. Expect inappropriate and personal questions to be asked of you. Expect to not be able to trust anyone, even those you consider friends. Expect that the creativity will be sucked out of you and you will never feel confident in your abilities because upper management have no clue what they want or what they're doing. They're more interested in walking around in their stilettos acting like they're the devil wears Prada. I can assure you they are the furthest from that kind of cool; seriously they're designing kids clothes people. Expect to not get to see your kids in the evenings or get to go to their school events, because deadlines come up last minute all the time and you're expected to meet those deadlines even if it came at 5pm for a 9am mtg the next day. This continues to happen because upper management encourages it, they feed off of fear. And everyone is fearful for the job so it continues.

Pros

its a clean environment and the customers are nice since it is mostly girls working and the clientelle are children and their parents. they have many locations to transfer to if necessary. relatively easy to advance because it is basically a revolving door of employees so 6 months there makes you a senior sales associate basically. but people do leave for a reason... good if you know kids or have kids that could benefit from your employee discount.

Cons

they like to put you "on call" on the schedule which means you never know when you are or arent working. pay is terrible. they have you work in 4 hour shifts which means you spend more on gas for working less. they pay bi weekly.
