I have been working at UK Power Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Full of people who are passionate about their work and company's goal (keep the lights on). Colleagues are friendly and helpful.

    Cons

Sometimes Living Our Values principles are abused by managers. It is impossible to get any meaningful payrise on personal contract. It is very difficult (if not impossible) to get a payrise when transferring within a company. Career opportunities are close to nil

    Advice to Management

To CEO: Look into how HR treat employees & HR policies

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at UK Power Networks full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Salaries are ok Good opportunity to earn overtime People stay and the people at grass roots are great people

    Cons

Exec team are mainly mid to older males who shout and ball at you and each other in what can only be described as a bulling and volatile environment. Always freezing recruitment and restructuring. Cost cutting a big focus.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people and customers. Be quicker at getting things done trust your people they do know what they are doing execs and senior managers don’t need to micro manage so much. Look at your culture of fear you’ve created it’s not good, and is not a culture fit for todays talent.
