Pros

Not much these days, leadership has driven this company to the ground, used to be a great place to work at, but that is no longer the case. There are still a few talented people there, but I am predicting they will leave sooner rather than later. Good pay, but will you sacrifice your happiness for money?

Cons

Sinking ship, avoid joining at all cost, especially the Enterprise team. Leadership has run this place to the ground. The company culture is one of the most toxic environments I have ever experienced in my corporate career. The people that have been fast tracked and been promoted into leadership are not prepared due to the lack of experience and in general not one single leader has any clue what they are doing, the ones that did, have all left the company. The whole company is sales driven, so be prepared to answer to sales and sales only, don’t be fooled into thinking other departments have an influence (they really don’t). The product has been neglected for so long that other companies have overtaken Udacity twice already, teams have massive knowledge gaps and work in silos and it’s been like this for years, so don’t believe when they say change is coming. The company has been claiming to be in “hyper growth” but yet they were unable to grow sustainably and in 3 years they have gone through 2 rounds of lay offs. Job security is 0, people disappear all the time and nobody knows why or when they have gone. Unrealistic sales targets and the incompetence of leaders in the company has really led to the downfall of this place. Also, there is about 0 diversity in this place, leadership constantly hires and promotes the same kind of people. In general career opportunities are small to none, because they are reducing departments massively, people that have been “promoted” are still dealing with the same tasks and problems as in their previous role and whilst their job title may have changed, their job actually has not. Leadership is not prepared to enable their employees to work differently, but also because so many people are constantly leaving, tasks are being left undone or being pushed into new quarters, without ever being completed.

Pros

Good brand awareness in some markets A handful of really good people at the coal face

Cons

All good leaders have gone, those that remain are presumably staying in the hope of an acquisition Multiple rounds of redundancy, no real product development, no marketing and compensation reduced
