Pros

It’s sad to see what has become of Unicorn. In the past, this was a genuinely great company filled with some of the most talented people in the industry. It was a hub for innovation and a respected name in Czech IT.

Cons

Once a cornerstone of the Czech IT scene, Unicorn is currently facing a slow-motion collapse. The massive fraud case involving missing hardware and billions in debt has crippled the company's financial stability. What used to be a growing empire is now a firm struggling to stay afloat, with the "Mammoth" debt acting as a financial anchor pulling everything down. Founder, Vladimír Kovář, is visibly trying to wriggle out of any personal or legal responsibility, distancing himself from the wreckage. Another major internal frustration is Kovář’s obsession with the company’s own proprietary system. He constantly pushes this outdated, monolithic software that feels like a relic from two decades ago. Also the way the company treats its people has hit a new low. Despite there being genuinely great and talented colleagues on the teams, the corporate culture has become toxic and management is increasingly forcing people onto IČO contracts to dodge social security costs and make it easier to cut people loose without severance.
