Pros

Flex hours allow you to come in early and leave early (but that won't stop anyone from messaging you during your vacations, time off, or weekends) and the facilities are nice.

Cons

If you enjoy a work/life balance, I advise you look elsewhere. Not only does this job offer as few holidays as legally possible, but they barely honor their own PTO policies. The lack of personal space is honestly ridiculous. Texts, slacks, calls and requests on weekends, evenings, and even holidays. Questions as to what you are using your PTO for are under the guise of conversation but are actually used to spy on employees personal business to check and see if they are leaving or looking elsewhere. And that paranoia is for good reason. After letting go of 8 people without warning early this summer, 16 other people have left on their own fruition. Backhanded comments and condescending leadership are rampant and there is a major lack of checks and balances as leadership consists of friends and family of the owners so any personal problems with how things are run are met with a "boys will be boys" or "if you don't like it, leave". Also, be aware that the employee handbook was revised to include that you will be asked to work beyond your job description "as needed by the team" meaning you will randomly be assigned more than any 1 person's possible bandwidth as the company attempts to avoid additional costs by panning work off on people to the point of exhaustion or to people with no qualifications to do the actual task. Raises, performance reviews, and recognition are few and far in between. While I personally learned a lot in my role, for which I am grateful, company culture is just a facade and things will not improve until leadership starts honoring their employees' skills and expertise and their right to a personal life.

Crushes Creative Spirit

Pros

I liked the fact that we got to work from home during the pandemic and my coworkers and direct manager was very nice.

Cons

The person I reported to was stressed out due to upper management which caused me to stress out as well. It wasn't their fault, they did their best to help me out as much as they could. The work itself is stressful because you think its going in one direction and suddenly upper management changes their minds. They say you have creative freedom and then strip it from you. They also fired about 8 people all of a sudden in one day which scared everyone, and they sort of brushed over it. As someone who's young and new to the corporate world that really just hurt to hear that they got fired, especially during a pandemic. After being there for 3 months I realized the stress of the job wasn't worth it and told my supervisor I was quitting and gave her my two weeks notice. Instead of two weeks they let me go that next week. I ended up finding a job that paid better and I get to do creative work I really enjoy from home with great coworkers.

Pros

Employees are all kind and smart. The facilities are nice, but they have multiple cameras watching you at the snack area and you can see the surveillance video of yourself as you purchase your snack.

Cons

I have never experienced a more disorganized, petty and unprofessional company in my life. They fired 8 people out of nowhere and had no reasoning behind it to make the rest of the company feel comfortable. They never even acknowledged it and carried on like it was funny that we were all nervous to be fired next. Upper management consists of family and their childhood friends. Although some of these people are very unprofessional, disrespectful and know nothing about our profession, they never face any consequences. I received multiple phone calls on the weekend about things that could wait until Monday, was constantly micromanaged by upper management and was laughed at on multiple occasions. I would never recommend to work for this company to anyone. They truly have so much work to do for a company that has so much potential.
