Pros

Great benefits, decent pay, easy hours

Cons

Favoritism; if they don’t like you, they will make your time there difficult. They follow policies when it’s convenient for them and enforce only with those who are not in their group of friends. Everyone in upper management has worked together before. If you rock the boat on the unethical practices they are doing, you’ll be in for a difficult time. If you should happen to go to HR for a concern regarding management, nothing will be done.

Avoid unless desperate; not a career builder. Keeping looking

Pros

Easy to be hired, very low standards and accountability across the organization make it easy to stay here for many years. Many of the people you work with will be very kind; the unhappiness here breeds close connections to people. Corporate office is often flexible with time.

Cons

Extreme levels of turnover at all levels. Many positions are very poorly paid, unless you're a executive. Not a place to build a career because there is little opportunity to advance or make a difference (they will tell you otherwise). No incentive to rock the boat and very poor team work and communication across the corporate departments. Even with excellent performance reviews, you may get a pat on the back but certainly don't expect a raise.

Pros

Area Director was passionate and truly invested in the children, and their futures. You have the opportunity to positively impact kids lives, as well as ensure their safety and development.

Cons

Upper echelon management could care less about your complaints or advice. Emphasis on foster families, rather than foster children.
