Pros
Teaching is so fun! I love meeting people excited to come to the US. Friendly staff, vibrant startup culture, very flexible hours. Great for when you're at school but you haven't got your career lined up yet. Generally good students. In-house systems that tend to work pretty well. Clearly a company run by smart people on a good growth trajectory.
Cons
Main issue is opaque salaries and pricing; they start with an hourly floor rate that's pretty low compared to what they actually charge their customers. I can't tell you their margins, but I'd expect 50-150% more for each level of experience, based on their business model. Also, a potentially unethical job given it could be argued that the whole industry perpetuates financial privilege. Occasional bugs on the platform, but nothing I've had to escalate. Executives & contact points sometimes very unresponsive, probably because they're so busy.
