Pros

As the TA / People Ops Lead for Belfast, I can honestly say Upwind is one of the most energising and authentic places I’ve worked. From day one, I felt genuinely valued. Not just welcomed, valued. My voice was listened to, my experience was respected and I was trusted to make an impact immediately. That feeling stays with you. And when you feel valued from the outset, it gives you the confidence to be your best. You lean in more. You contribute more. You grow faster. That foundation makes all the difference. The hiring process reflects that same care and intention. It’s thorough but human. We focus on real alignment, skills, ambition, mindset and culture, so when someone joins, they feel they truly belong. It’s not about filling roles; it’s about building a team. The culture is ambitious, collaborative and rooted in mutual respect. There’s a strong sense of ownership across the organisation, and leadership is accessible and supportive. You’re encouraged to speak up, challenge constructively and bring forward ideas. There’s no ego, just a collective drive to build something exceptional. Career development is real and visible. I’ve already seen individuals expand their scope, step into new roles and take on meaningful responsibility. If you have curiosity and hunger to grow, you will be supported and stretched in equal measure. The tech itself is innovative and complex, which creates exciting professional challenges. It’s fast-paced, but in a way that feels purposeful rather than chaotic. You’re solving real problems with smart, driven people. In Belfast particularly, there’s a fantastic sense of community. The office environment is positive and inclusive, with genuine attention paid to well-being and connection. There’s pride in the work we do and pride in how we treat each other. It truly feels like an exciting time to join Upwind. We’re growing thoughtfully, investing in people and shaping something impactful. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be challenged, supported and, most importantly, valued from day one, this is it.

Cons

None that I have seen so far and don't anticipate there to be.

Pros

The recruitment process at Upwind was one of the most professional I’ve experienced. It moved at an impressive pace without feeling rushed. From the initial screening to the final technical rounds, the communication was seamless. Be prepared to dive deep into technical concepts, especially regarding cloud environments or security fundamentals. They value clarity of thought and problem solving skills over just having the "right" answer. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Cons

It’s super fast paced, for people who value speed, execution, and hard work. The environment moves at a high velocity, which is perfect if you thrive on intensity and seeing immediate impact.
