Pros
Flexible marijuana-friendly beer-friendly workplace, lots of freedom with ideas, flexible hours, "fun" and constant music playing. Free gym membership w/ the attached gym (also owned by the company owner.)
Cons
Absentee owner (was there maybe 1 full week for the 6 months I worked there) and zero management (unless you count the fact that everyone has a "management" title) means zero direction, no new clients, no checking-in on projects, and everything is rushed because no one knew X had to be done by Y (because no one knew who's job that was in the first place.)

Pros
Tight-knit team with lots of wisdom and guidance. I learned a lot about the business and design standards on what it takes to run a design firm. Individual ownership on many projects.
Cons
Founder owned multiple businesses and was absent most of the week. Was only present a couple hours a day, or for important meetings. Management roles were stacked onto individuals, which ended up causing unnecessary pressure and additional workload. Because of that, everyone was extremely busy and had a poor work/life balance. Because the founder was never there, I had to even pester and hunt down to get my tax documents (which I never ended up getting).
