I have been working at VSG Vision Security Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good contract to work on,
Job is easy for someone of my experience.
Lots of time to study to further my career and move on from here

    Cons

Wage paid on time but it was wrong!!
Tuped over 6 weeks ago and still don’t have a full uniform.
Everything feels like it is done as cheaply as possible, welcome pack a year out of date, the app throws up faults all the time.
The whole no more than five days holiday in March
Being paid 8.24 hours when on holiday, I work 12 hours don’t be so tight.
Phone calls at mid-day to my mobile when I’m on constant nightshift.
Management who seem not to care, first e-mail after the new year I wish you a happy new year and nothing but an answer to my question, this shows you care....... not.

    Advice to Management

Care about your staff, 6 weeks in and no visit to make sure everything is good with move from previous company.
Pay us the correct amount, only reason I stayed on this contract was the pay rise.
First impressions count, the bar wasn’t set very high with the previous company prior to type but I’m afraid VSG has been a swing and a miss.
Let see if being bought by Mitie changes anything but with someone with my training and experience I’m sure I will fit in somewhere else.

I worked at VSG Vision Security Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Understanding and supportive management team, Benefits and clear structure.

    Cons

Control Room and resourcing team severely understaffed. Once waited 35 mins on hold to speak to control room regarding an incident, however they do do a good job. Scotland pretty much left and forgotten about. Colleagues like to moan about pay but they need to understand that this is normally set by the customers and not VSG themselves!

    Advice to Management

Senior Regional Management & Directors need to spend time and meet your people on the front line.
