I have been working at VSG Vision Security Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Management Team are always available and always help regardless of how small or big the problem is, and you never feel like you are bothering them. Benefits at work can get you anything from cheap cinema tickets to cheaper holidays. Work hard and want promotion then you need to get yourself noticed and the management team will put you on development path, if you just want to work hard and earn your wages then fine, nobody is pushing you to do what you don't want to do.

    Cons

Some of the contracts are on minimum wage although I appreciate that the company cannot really help that as they are led by their client's.

    Advice to Management

    keep being contactable.

I have been working at VSG Vision Security Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great, Management Team and lots of support from everyone including the cleaners.

    Cons

Less pay for the level of incidents involved and risk to life as Luton has become a very dangerous place over the years. Under the SAR request you will see how many incidents are recorded with Bedfordshire Police.

    Advice to Management

    Dear Management at VSG
Us security officers at the Luton Mall are on bottom of the food chain, who risk our health and life to keep the public and retailers safe at Luton Mall.

    We are dealing with everything
syringes, drug dealers drunks.. thefts patrols lift intrapments, car park assistance, aggressive and abusive customers on daily and to also pick rubbish from the Mall floors all for 8.48 an hour we are the front line officers and it's quite sad that we have to face all this to put food on our tables.

    Pros

Good salary and people were nice

    Cons

Bad HR and don’t expect any personal development

They are a security contracting company so you are an expendable asset and accept any employment offer on that basis otherwise you will be disappointed

    Advice to Management

Value your people more or they will keep walking away

    Pros

the good reviews are possibly fakes ,I was subjected to a high level of bullying and abuse , unprofessional behaviour and threats .Was interviewed by someone who was recruiting for Edinburgh and hardly knew Edinburgh at all.
Went on to talk on and on about his private life ( mistook me for his therapist?), Went on to make fun of one of my family surnames, made fun of where I lived, real abusive bully .Dealt with another one who gave all wrong numbers who didn't know where what and that was at management level .., was threaten that if you don't come for the interview you will never be able to apply for a job there again. Wrote to the directors, never had a reply even.
Anyone dealing with this sort of company should look elsewhere.

    Cons

Let's hope this is one of these companies that are here today gone tomorrow.. avoid dealings at all levels is my advise .
