Pros

Not many...Executive Management keeps their head in the sand and has NO CLUE WHAT THEIR MANAGERS ARE REALLY DOING OUT IN THE FIELD...or how they are really treating their direct reports.

Cons

Executive Management is run via the "Good Ole Boy"network. Human Resources are there to protect the company and those managers that are protected by their higher-ups no matter how badly they treat the employees, and finally, the Operations is a mess where customers and Distributors are treated like 2nd class citizens. Everyone knows this but stays there anyway.....unbelievable.

Pros

This was a dismal place to work until they "topgraded" out some useless senior executives in 2011. Shifting our problems to some other poor Danaher division have improved the attitudes and direction at V-R tremendously. Compensation is fair, benefits are nothing to brag about. Co-workers are generally okay.

Cons

Being part of Danaher means you cannot always focus on your job but are forced to spend time with Danaher Business System paperwork. Some of it is useful, but most of it is a tribute to the idea that one management method suits all companies. Grin and ignore it.

Pros

You'll gain new career experience in area's not typically learned at other companies, competative salary, growth opportunities are possible outside the company within other opco's.

Cons

EXTREMELY high turn over in office ... poor training and poor mentoring, work load is more than any human can do in a 8 or 10 or 12+ hour day every week. Standard work & Computer Systems aren't mainted (kept up to date) if at all by site until a problem occurs. Treats union members as a part of the problem instead of engaging as a part of the solution. Give up your personal & family life. That is what is required, expected and quitely demanded.
