Pros

The directors of the company invest in their people and are committed to their growth. Any Visual Risk employee is only limited by their own limitations. It is a great place to work with a strong collegiate atmosphere and a "can do" attitude. The commitment to client delivery is excellent and at Visual Risk you always feel as being part of something bigger. No one at Visual Risk is stagnant and one is always growing and being challenged and pushed to be something bigger and better.

Cons

If you do not like to grow and if you are satisfied with a 9-5 check box kind of job then this possibly is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for challenges that will help you grow then this definitely is the place to be.

Pros

Small company, some smart people, flexibility. Some of the algorithmic product development in the past has been quite innovative. Offices are pretty rough, but I liked the location.

Cons

Toxic work culture with a lot of political problems between the directors and long term staff. The directors have been looking to sell the business and cash-out for years. As a result they don't have a long term view or plan. At times you are expected to work very long hours, under a lot of pressure for a very average salary. Unfortunately they have become an employer of last resort. The two directors will eventually get big cheques and never be seen again. Sigh.
