Recently I was reflecting on my time at Voonami and wanted to give my opinion on how poor of a workplace this is. Now having experienced a healthy work environment with competent management, the contrast is staggering when comparing it with Voonami's. The benefits are mediocre, the pay is very mediocre, and guidance for you as an individual is nonexistent. The old-school 'just figure it out' mentality does not help your customers or employees. This place is a revolving door and I have personally never seen morale in such a constant gloomy state. I was never given any praise or recognition in over 12 months of employment. When people in other honest reviews mention 'Leadership' or 'Management' they are referring to the President, Ben. There is no middle management or real hierarchy here. His methods dissuade any sense of collaboration and foster a poor culture where personal growth is not cultivated. Multiple times I left meetings feeling confused and unsure of how to proceed as decisions change from one day to the next. So, future job seekers, take heed. Cut your teeth somewhere else. Somewhere you will be valued as an employee and treated as a team member. Somewhere that doesn't have that hint of nepotism in the air. Somewhere you will feel energized and excited to work for. Your sanity and self worth will thank you.
