Pros

This is a total dream job in the same way that sitting in heavy traffic is an ideal way to spend an afternoon. If you're the type of person who enjoys seeing other people miserably going about their lives just trying to imagine they're somewhere else, you'd likely love this job. In all honesty I had to really think about this for awhile before coming to the conclusion that there really are no "pros" to name. I met some nice people who also got conned into accepting employment? This company is excellent at making itself appear to be a great place to work. They make a decent product and their advertising is spot-on. I suppose if you're in upper-management or one of the few office-based positions, this may actually be a "dream job." If you're a production or warehouse employee on the other hand...

Cons

I have had my fair amount of jobs. I have never been fired from a job. I have never quit a job without giving a proper notice. This job was no different. I was hired on, I worked for almost a year, and I terminated my own employment professionally (two weeks) as I have always done. My point in telling you that is so you know this review isn't from some lazy, butthurt nobody with a chip on his shoulder because he was canned for being a chump. I was a good employee. I was never late, never left early, and never got into trouble for any reason. I didn't accrue "points" which are assigned to you if you make pretty much any mistakes. At 10 points your employment is terminated immediately. Different infractions are worth different amounts of points. Missing a day, for example, will earn you three. Sounds pretty forgiving, eh? So anyway, I didn't have a problem with any of that. I enjoy productivity, and I respect a busy work environment. What I do not respect is management who treats their employees like they're worthless, expendable assets. This is not the type of working environment where you're asked nicely to do something. This is a working environment where you're ordered around, regardless of your work ethic and attitude. Do not expect maturity, respect, understanding, reason, kindness, or really anything positive if you're a general warehouse or production worker. You will not be shown any of these things because they do not care about you. They care about business. Oh, and the armed security is not there to protect you from outside threats. They are there to keep an eye on you to make sure you aren't stealing or whatever. A bit redundant considering the hundreds of high-quality cameras used to watch employees every second of every day. At least you can go outside on your breaks to enjoy some fresh air for a few minutes to help you get through the rest of the day. Just kidding, you can't go outside either.

Pros

Full time work, is all

Cons

Treat employees like crap. Force you to work last minute on Saturday and don't give a damn if you have major plans such as a wedding or trip. They will "ding" you, put it in your record, AND take away your incentive pay... All for their last minute decision to work on a non normal workday (oh, but of course they will let you waste one of YOUR paid days off, if you have them left, to take this at the last minute day off. Sorry, daughter, i cant attend your wedding because they told me today I have to work tomorrow and if I don't, they have no problem screwing me over with it going on my permanent record and messing with my pay. Again, this is all because of a non normal work day they decided upon last minute dear. Guess I'll see your wedding photos though, and you can have Uncle Joe give you away for me.

Pros

-Great discount on products for employees -Company does continue to grow as sales increase

Cons

-Terrible benefits! You only get 5 sick days that you can use your first year. After one year you will receive 5 days of vacation, and only after two years will you receive the full standard two weeks of vacation. Each year you do get the 5 sick days but they cannot be scheduled in advance and must be used as sick time only. They do not allow you to roll any of this sick or vacation time over. -They give you the bare minimum in holiday days. You will receive a day off on Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving and that is it. Note that they do not give you Christmas Eve, NYE, or the day after Thanksgiving off. -Health insurance is costly especially for families. -Inconsistent treatment among departments. -If you work 8 to 5 you only get a 30 minute lunch break. -Little room for advancement within the company, they prefer that you stick to the duties you have even if you express interest in expanding. -There is a lot of micro-managing happening here. Managers openly speak negatively about employees and divulge personal information about them. -There is no distinction between factory and corporate employee duties. It is looked down upon to converse with coworkers. -Management is close minded and not open to hearing about new or innovative ideas. They have a tendency to stifle creative employees. -Management is afraid of the owner and tries to instill this fear into their employees -All personal internet activity is tracked individually by management "checking up on you"
