Pros

They order coke and have a keurig and lots of disposable cups because there is no sink.

Cons

- Really bad management overall. - Poor communication within and across departments and teams. - Horrible benefits. - Very political. Politics over logic, professionalism, and work ethics. Whether you can do a good job, finish your work on time, or have the knowledge to do the work is much less important than you getting along with people and being liked by your supervisor and key people in the company. - People there do not understand what professionalism is. From the nonexistent HR to most of management. Most of them are not on top of and do not resolve issues (production or management issues). They have tons of meetings to talk about it and only to come out of those meetings to do nothing. This usually involves loud, distracting yelling from management about ideas that will never materialize. - Extremely inefficient. Waste a lot of time and effort to do very little. - Poor pipeline and workflow. Designed by people who do not have the knowledge or experience, but yet has a huge ego. - A lot of "old-timer" employees that has been with the company for a long time that do not do much work but yet, because of WhSay's emphasis on seniority and loyalty, their jobs are very secure. They happen to be the most political as well. In one meeting I was told the these particular people were "untouchable". - Poor planning and executions. This is from art direction to actual product development and production. - Poor career path and growth opportunities. - Methods used to track and measure performance is a failure. Performance reviews do not exist. Overall, there is a huge lack of accountability throughout the company. Just showing up to work regularly is a chore for some. - If you enjoy having little to no space to yourself and loud distracting indian wailing music being played so loudly through portable speakers that the most expensive pair of Bose noise canceling headphones can't tune it out, you're in luck! - I spent over a month attempting to get a Dev machine more powerful than a macbook air. - The free coke and coffee is only there because they don't want to spend the money to rent a real office that has a sink. You wash your dishes in a 5x6 bathroom down the hall shared with another office that has glass doors so you can be reminded of what a real office looks like every day on your way in to work (they have two sinks). - The office is too small. I would've taken a pay cut for more leg room. - Thankless

Lots of egos. Not a lot of talent.

Pros

Pockets of nice, very smart, hard-working talented people with good intention. Free snacks. Dogs in office. A good learning experience for people just starting out in regards to the world of influencer marketing.

Cons

Promotes bullies. Not open to diversity of thought and therefore squashes the drive and excitement of people until they leave. A couple of bad apples in a position of power who drive this culture.

Pros

As a freelance writer, it was great that I could work from home during hours that were convenient for me.

Cons

Communication via email was a problem. If an editor wanted immediate changes, sometimes I wouldn't see their email until I'm finished writing another article 30 mins later. Also, their leadership is constantly changing. Getting a hold of someone in accounting is also a bit frustrating. Not a lot of opportunity for growth.
