Pros

Generally easy and low stress work environment.

Cons

No reason to stay with the company longer than a year. Even if you get promoted to a Customer Experience Champion or a Manager in Training, there's no significant pay increase, you don't get the option of full time hours and you still don't get any benefits. Company doesn't care about you and the store managers are the only ones that have any kind of career options within the company.

Pros

Free bottle of cheap nasty wine every month

Cons

Low wages, micromanaged and, no guaranteed hours, continually lied to, toxic environment, management made it known that their friends and family were spying on employees - making sure we continually pestered people passing by, demanding they have a free sample right before they got in their cars to drive!

Pros

Often, interaction with customers is brief. 1-2+ free bottles of wine, type predetermined by company.

Cons

Wine Rack does not have 'assistant manager' position, because they do not want to continue to pay assistant manager wage if you step down or demoted. So they've invented their own title, but it's the same thing. As this position you qualify for bonuses every 'quater', but its not guaranteed. You will be an assistant manager, but paid entry wage ($11.30/hr). (Mostly) guaranteed second highest hours, to the store manager, but again, at entry pay along with everyone else. Every year, associates qualify for small raise. Position part time only.
