Pros

There is a glimmer of hope that once some of the "good ol' boys" retire, there may be some positive change in culture and operations. There are some good employees, even a handful of great ones, but it is a shame that these people will struggle to introduce change.

Cons

Many employees in key positions are extremely unqualified. A 2-year technical degree is all that is required for the position of CEO and President. Unfortunately, this isn't even a joke. The story continues to be the same all of the way down through the ranks. Poor management decisions are made on a daily basis. Ideas that could improve profits, safety and morale are squashed instantly because that would mean "change", and "change is bad".

Pros

-It's a relaxed work environment. -Vacation time for salaried employees increases rather quickly compared to competitors.

Cons

-Pay increases/Bonuses are solely based on sales. Your personal performance won't be rewarded. For instance meeting a deadline and putting in overtime doesn't result in an increased raise or bonus. -There is a divide between the executives and the working class. They continue to hire executive level employees, but won't replace people who quit, retire, etc.

Pros

- Takes ~88 hours or so until you’re fired for bad time - If you’re fortunate to be placed with like minded coworkers, friends can be made and days go by faster.

Cons

- Production supervisors will generally treat you like you’re a convict. - Managers will lie to you. - Unrealistic expectations in production. - Not enough pay. - High turnover rate. - Disconnect between management and lower level employees. - Old and often obsolete equipment. - Short 2x 10minute breaks. 1x 30 minute unpaid lunch. - Quality is questionable. - Engineers shouldn’t be trusted to make a working mousetrap. -Supervisors shouldn’t be trusted to manage a McDonalds.
