Pros
If you are passionate about working with kids and helping increase their physical activity, it can be a great part-time job. You get the opportunity to teach and learn dances, lead engaging classes, and even improvise activities to make each session fun and interactive, especially if you enjoy having creative control and prefer doing things in your own way.
Cons
The hours can be very inconsistent, and the management is often disorganized, which can make the job frustrating. The commute can also be very long depending on the assigned location. The programs themselves are not always well planned or consistent, so many of the instructors end up having to improvise and create their own activities at the last minute. Although the company promotes certain values, I feel that these values are not effectively taught or reflected in the way students experience the program.
