I came to XCMG with ample of experience and found a workplace completely lacking in structure, leadership, or direction. There are no onboarding materials, no clear expectations, no meetings, and no communication between Group China management and American employees. You're essentially left to figure everything out on your own. Layoffs were framed as a lack of work, but the reality seems to be financial instability and a lack of strategy for the North American market. Attempts to raise concerns are ignored. The Chinese take zero accountability. I also observed questionable visa practices and a culture where non-Asian employees are treated as placeholders. The pay is not competitive, the culture is dysfunctional, and I would not recommend this company to anyone serious about their career. You won't learn anything and it'll be a complete waste of your time.
