Pros

Hobby Fund - Great perk where you can expense something as a hobby Some Great people. Knowledgeable and willing to help wherever they can.

Cons

Where do we start... The senior management team are frauds. In my time all they did was employ people they previously worked with and implement them into roles that were occupied by other people. The people coming in took the information from the team they were replacing and presented it as their own work. If this is not grounds for constructive dismissal then I don't know what is. I was promised mentoring and the ability to manage my own team. None of the advice was useful. No targets. No feedback. No responsibility. Constantly fighting fires. If its not customer systems falling over it would be the infuriating understanding of how to run a project. The infrastructure is built on a shoe string budget. Replication steps required to get anyone engaged. The system is down!!!! The lack of experience in customer facing roles is shocking. The promise of growing a team was great, as soon as you go for financial sign off the budget disappears. The ability to hit any deadline is non existent. Multiple times deadlines were missed with no explanation until the last minute. Release management is non existent. Release notes come out after the release on many occasions. The releases often cause outages or P1 incidents. Outage windows are at a whim without telling customers in advance. No understanding of Agile or Waterfall exist in this business. What are they using? Hope! There is no strategy. They set something out and it changes within a month. They just constantly tinker until it falls apart and then its back to how it was working before. Hustle is a word that is spread around during recruiting and while working. This actually means you will work all hours of the day. You could be doing meetings with the Indian team, UK Team and US Team. If you're willing to work 16 hour days you're not meant for this company. I thought slavery was abolished. The Indian team work every hour of every day. They are working normal office hours IST and then working with the UK and US team. They work so hard that they are constantly working themselves into illness. The expectations to work is essentially comparable to slave labour. If you're not constantly on call for no financial benefit then you won't make it. Holiday?! What do you mean you won't work on your holiday? You want a mac book. No worries. These are second hand and not well looked after. I had a team members receive defective laptops as well as laptops that were dirty. Constantly summoned to meet ups that add no value. They take you away from your day job to meet with leadership for no reason and no notice. Expenses take ages for sign off. Last pay incorrect, late, terribly managed. Customer Survey sent out to customers. Results hidden. Comments made about the lack of knowledge from members of the senior leadership team that were directed at the person conducting the survey. Customers pulling out of projects due to bad project management and deadlines missed. You want a project management tool? How about google sheets? You want somewhere to log customer issues? How about google sheets? Someone leaves? we recruit? Nope. You get their responsibilities and maintain your own. Some HR staff are unprofessional and not really HR trained. I could go on for days. I just don't care any more. All the promise of a great company. No execution. Preferential treatment. If you survive, your mental health wont. You will be constantly hassled to breaking point. I have seen hardened employees come in a leave after 6 months due to these practices. Don't do it to yourself or others.
